BACKGROUND
Future Synthetics (Middle East) FZC won a contract to design and manufacture a total of 15 cable laid grommets for the follow-on phase of the NFPS project, demonstrating the confidence of the customer in Future Synthetics with regards to the quality and punctual delivery of these critical items. The project had been awarded to the Contractor by QatarEnergy LNG for the Combined COMP3A & COMP3B of the North Field Production Sustainability Offshore Compression Program, aimed at sustaining the production of the North Field offshore natural gas reservoir.
The scope of work encompassed the engineering, procurement, fabrication and installation of six platforms as well as approximately 100 km of corrosion resistance alloy rigid subsea pipelines of 28’’ and 24’’ diameter, 100 km of subsea composite cables, 150 km of optic cables and several other subsea facilities.
These grommets were produced with our trademark Engineered Length Control ® for strict length compliance. The size of the grommets ranged from 288mm to 156mm diameter.
Proof load testing was conducted on our KimTest 3000t horizontal test bed in Malaysia, one of the few test beds in the world capable of accommodating these long lengths.SCOPE OF SUPPLY:

BACKGROUND
Future Synthetics (Middle East) FZC won a contract to design and manufacture a total of 8 heavy lift synthetic round slings for the Dalma Gas project.
The Dalma field is part of the Ghasha Concession which is the world’s largest offshore sour gas development and an important enabler of gas self-sufficiency for the United Arab Emirates (UAE). The scope of supply for the contractor covered the EPC of four offshore wellhead towers, pipelines and umbilicals in Hair Dalma, Satah, and Bu Haseer fields.
These slings were huge and when used in basket hitch the largest had an MBL of 10,790 metric tons.
All slings were made with our trademark Engineered Length Control ® for strict length compliance. Proof load testing was conducted on our KimTest 3000t horizontal test bed in Malaysia – one of the largest in the industry. -

KimLift® Synthetic Round Slings

Future Synthetics (Singapore) won a contract to design and manufacture a total of 13 engineered synthetic round slings for subsea installation project involving one of the largest offshore construction vessels in the industry.The Contractor secured a deal for transportation and installation activities for the Jansz-Io Compression project, located around 200 kilometres offshore the north-western coast of Australia at water depths of about 1,400 meters. The Jansz-Io compression project will help gas recovery at the giant 15.6 MTPA (million tonnes per annum) Gorgon LNG project as the offshore field ages.
Part of the original development plan for the Chevron-operated Gorgon LNG plant, the Jansz-Io compression project will use subsea compression technology to maintain long-term natural gas supply from the offshore field to the three existing LNG trains but also domestic gas plant on Barrow Island.
All slings were made with our trademark Engineered Length Control ® for strict length compliance. Proof load testing was conducted on our KimTest 3000t horizontal test bed in Malaysia – one of the largest in the industry.

BACKGROUND
Future Synthetics (Singapore) won a contract to design and manufacture a total of 31 engineered synthetic round slings for the installation of an offshore wind farm.
The main scope of work using the slings included:
- Foundation transport and installation service
- Offshore substation EPCI service
- Submarine cable transport, commissioning, installation and testing service
- Wind turbine generator transport service
The offshore operations are planned to started in March 2024 and will be complete by the end of 2025 to deliver power to the grid as scheduled. The KimLift slings were supplied with high visibility jackets and extra protection for heavy duty applications. One of the slings measured at 73.5m in length, one of the longest KimLift slings produced so far.
All slings were made with our trademark Engineered Length Control ® for strict length compliance. Proof load testing was conducted on our KimTest 3000t horizontal test bed in Malaysia.

Future Synthetics (Middle East) FZC won a contract to design and manufacture a total of 12 cable laid grommets and hand spliced slings for the follow-on phase of the NFPS project. Lot 3 included the manufacture of cable laid slings using hand spliced terminations in ultra-long lengths exceeding 100m. Proof load testing was conducted on our KimTest 3000t horizontal test bed in Malaysia, one of the few test beds in the world capable of accommodating these long lengths.

BACKGROUND
Future Synthetics (Middle East) FZC won a contract to design and manufacture a total of 2 heavy lift, synthetic round slings to complement the 30 slings supplied in the previous installation phase in 2022. The slings were used for installing monopiles for the Yunlin Offshore Wind Farm, located in the Taiwan Straits.The Contractor landed an order to install the remaining monopiles for wind turbine structures for the 640-MW Yunlin wind farm. As many as 80 wind turbines will generate electricity that will be fed into the Taiwanese power grid via two onshore substations near the cities of Taixi and Sihu.
The first turbine was connected to the grid in November 2022 but the completion of the project was delayed by three years due to technical difficulties with the monopile installation.

Future Synthetics (Singapore) won a contract to design and manufacture a total of 4 ultralong heavy lift, synthetic round slings. The slings were used for the Transportation and Installation (T&I) project for ONGC’s deep water project. The contractor will deliver and install a central processing platform (CPP) and living quarters. The platform will process wet gas, which will then be exported to an onshore terminal.
The slings were made to strict length tolerances, quality control and engineering verification. The core load bearing component used in the slings was FutureSteel® HMPE yarn, produced at Future Synthetics using high speed twisters. The exceptionally long length of these heavy lift slings presented no problem for the production team and testing department.All slings were made with our trademark Engineered Length Control ® for strict length compliance. Proof load testing was conducted on our KimTest 3000t horizontal test bed in Malaysia – one of the largest and longest in the industry.

Future Synthetics (Singapore) won a contract to design and manufacture a total of 133 engineered synthetic round slings for an EPCIC contract for the floating production unit (FPU) for the Scarborough gas field development offshore Western Australia. The KimLift slings were supplied with high visibility jackets and extra protection for heavy duty applications. A total of 96 steel wire rope grommets were made and over 100 high-capacity shackles and hooks supplied as part of the total rigging package.The slings were used for the installation of huge suction plies and other critical subsea lifting.
The project scope included a battery energy storage system to reduce emissions on the topsides and support the client’s net emissions reduction targets.

BACKGROUND
Future Synthetics (Singapore) won a contract to design and manufacture a total of 30 engineered synthetic round slings for 433km of pipeline installation.
Once operational, the trunkline will connect the Scarborough gas field, located in the Carnarvon Basin offshore Western Australia, with the corresponding onshore liquefied natural gas production facility Pluto. Over a 12-month period, the contractor installed 433 km of pipeline and more than 36,000 lengths of pipe at a depth of up to 1,400 meters.
The KimLift slings were supplied with high visibility jackets and extra protection for heavy duty applications.

Future Synthetics (Singapore) won a contract to design and manufacture a total of 28 engineered synthetic round slings for an engineering, procurement, and removal contract for offshore decommissioning work for the removal of the Stybarrow disconnectable turret mooring (DTM) buoy. It was part of the decommissioning of the Stybarrow field located in the northwest Cape of Western Australia.The slings were used for the recovery, transportation and offloading of the DTM buoy to a suitable onshore yard facility for

BACKGROUND
Future Synthetics (Middle East) FZC won a contract to design and manufacture a total of 12 cable laid grommets for the NFPS project – Lot 2. The project had been awarded to the Contractor by QatarEnergy LNG for the Engineering, Procurement, Construction and Installation of various offshore facilities for the extraction and transportation of natural gas, including platforms, supporting and connecting structures, subsea cables and anticorrosion internally cladded pipelines. The project also encompasses the decommissioning of a pipeline and other significant modifications to existing offshore facilities.Pipe-laying and lifting operations was executed by the DE HE vessel in water depths of approximately 65 meters, leveraging on the Contractor’s high-end welding technology for corrosion resistant cladded pipelines to meet stringent quality requirements.
The unique length and load capability of our KimTest 3000t horizontal test bed in Malaysia was ideally suited to accommodating these long lengths in a full proof load test. As for the grommets in Lot 1, the Lot 2 grommets were exceptionally long for this large diameter and were produced with our trademark Engineered Length Control ® for strict length compliance.

Future Synthetics (Middle East) FZC won a contract to design and manufacture a total of 30 heavy lift, synthetic round slings. The slings were used for installing monopiles for the Yunlin Offshore Wind Farm, located in the Taiwan Straits.
The monopiles were installed in water depths from 9m to 38m. Due to the size of the wind turbines to be installed, the monopiles were huge with some having diameters of 10m, lengths from 60m to 98m and unit weights of up to 2 metric tons. Several of these monopiles were the heaviest ever to be used offshore.
The slings were made to strict length tolerances, quality control and engineering verification. The core load bearing component used in the slings was FutureSteel®
HMPE yarn, produced at Future Synthetics using high speed twisters.
All slings were made with our trademark Engineered Length Control ® for strict length compliance. Proof load testing was conducted on our KimTest 3000t horizontal test bed in Malaysia – one of the largest in the industry.SCOPE OF SUPPLY:

KimLift® Synthetic Round Slings

Future Synthetics Pte Ltd designed and manufactured a total of 8 heavy lift slings for the Yunlin Wind Farm project.
When completed, Yunlin will be one of the biggest wind farms in Taiwan and provide clean electricity to more than 450,000 Taiwanese homes and offsetting
916,000 tonnes (t) of CO2 emissions a year.The Yunlin offshore wind farm will be installed with 80 SG 8.0-167 DD offshore wind turbines from Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy (SGRE). It will be the first
wind farm in Asia Pacific to use such turbines.With 167m-diameter rotor and 81.4m-long blades, each direct-drive turbine will have a swept area of 21,900m² and a rated capacity of 8MW.
Equipped with high wind ride through (HWRT) system, the wind turbines are designed for smooth ramp down instead of immediate shut-down, when the wind speed exceeds 25m/s.
All slings were made with Engineered Length Control ® or strict length compliance.

Future Synthetics designed and manufactured several high performance KimLift synthetic slings for the ONGC project in the Bay of Bengal.
The Cluster 2 fields lie in the deepwater KGDWN-98/2 Block located off the shore of the Godavari Delta on the east coast of India in water depths ranging from 300m to 3,200m.
